Feisty, always determined to speak her mind. She is I think there for the doctor to get his opinions out without letting the reader know how biased he is?
she would agree with the doctor i think in his findings of "aliens" or whatever the reason the doctor has, but she wouldn't act on it.
She is a red herring to be waved at the reader to distract from the doctor's more insane moments
She is retired, grew up in the city, maybe watched it change? or...the city has always been like it?
Doesn't think much of authority figures...almost detests the inspector without ever meeting him.
lives alone with her cat. She not a busybody, but is always curious.
I think she mostly looks like the woman in the picture.
As for style of dress, not sure. Old fashioned, like the rest?
